April's Character Trait is
HONESTY.
Honesty means:

We are
committed to keeping all of the students at Booker T. Washington
healthy and safe. We thank our parents for following these
procedures.
7:00AM
Breakfast begins.
7:40AM
First Bell rings and the school day begins. Students should be
on their way to class escorted by their teacher.
7:50AM
The Tardy bell will ring and any students not in their classroom
are considered to be late. (Exceptions are made for late buses
or delays in the serving of breakfast.)
Students
may be dropped off by parents at the Commons Hall Door located
next to the gym. The front door of the office on MLK will
remain locked until 7:15AM. Morning drop-off begins at 6:45AM
at the Commons entrance only. A BTW staff member will make sure
that students get into the building safely. All arriving
students must use this entrance in the mornings. The Commons
Hall door will be locked at 7:45AM. After 7:45AM, please take
student to the Main Entrance on MLK.
The Nina
Street side drop off area (located by portables) is for buses
only.
A crossing
guard will be located at the corner of Nina and MLK. Students
should follow the directions of the crossing guard. Student
walkers should enter at the side entrance of the Commons Door
located next to the gym.
If students arrive after
7:50AM, students should enter at the Main Entrance on MLK.
Staff will be available to help students with tardy slips and
getting to their classrooms.
