Welcome
to Booker T. Washington Elementary School! At BTWES, parents are considered
partners in their child's education and as such are invited to
share in many aspects of their child's learning. This website
allows parents the opportunity to access important educational
information. On this site there are links to the
Elgin
Independent School District website, the
Texas Education
Agency site and the
Region 13 Education Service Center site.
These sites provide parents with information regarding the
TAKS test, the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills),
and other basic information regarding policies and operating
information. From time to time this site will be updated with
links connecting the parent to grade level information, PTA
information, library news and school events.
The AR store needs volunteers for morning
shifts and on Friday mornings. Please contact
Ms. Powell in the library
for more info.
Reading Round-up volunteers are needed to
read with students for one hour a week. Please contact
Ms. Caudle for more info or
if you'd like to volunteer.
